Todos tenemos ambiciones y queremos alcanzar algo en nuestras vidas, todos tenemos alguna meta de vida con la que siempre hemos soñado. Y todo se ve prometedor cuando lo imaginamos. Pero en realidad son pocos los que realmente tienen la determinación de trabajar por esas metas y darle vida.

Muchos quieren pero pocos hacen

Tener una meta es primordial para poder trabajar por lo que quieres. La meta te muestra el destino al que quieres llegar, y el tener una meta clara es el primer paso para emprender el camino hacia tus sueños. Y aún cuando suena tan simple, ¿por qué hay solo un pequeño porcentaje de personas que está trabajando en sus metas y una inmensa mayoría que va solo ‘navegando con la marea’?

En primer lugar, tener una meta ya te pone por delante de un gran número de personas. Pero la verdadera clave para alcanzar tus metas es tomar acción. Necesitas hacer lo que te va a ayudar a trabajar por ellas y no quedarte en el solo pensarlas. Es cierto que el tener un plan para trabajar en tus metas es indispensable, pero es impresionante cuantas personas pasan toda su vida planeando sin darle comienzo a sus planes. El primer paso es el más difícil, pero es el más importante. ¿Quieres alcanzar tus metas? Comienza a trabajar en tu plan, en la vida real, en tu día a día, dale vida a la meta y sácale del papel donde la tienes planificada. Es mejor comenzar a trabajar en tu plan e ir adaptándolo durante el proceso que esperar a tener el plan ideal para comenzar….. porque la verdad es que el plan perfecto no existe.

¿Para quién son esas metas?

El no trabajar en tus metas y dejarlas en un papel esperando el mejor momento para comenzar es una de las formas en que las personas se auto sabotean sus metas y sueños. Pero hay otra razón, que hoy en día es muy común y que, en mi opinión, es el peor enemigo del éxito: el dejar que las demás personas influyan al momento de definir tus metas.

Es impresionante la cantidad de personas que dejan que la opinión de otros sea protagonista en sus propias historias. Y esta es la razón del articulo de hoy, quiero hacerte un llamado a que no seas parte de esas estadística, no permitas que los demás definan tus metas y determinen en que debes o no trabajar para alcanzar tus sueños.

Ponte metas para ti y para nadie más. Cualquier ayuda, consejo o aporte que la gente a tu alrededor quiera dar es más que bienvenido, pero no cometas el error de permitir que la opinión de los demás defina tu camino. No importa lo que diga la gente, si alguien te critica o no cree en lo que haces, está en ti no escuchar, la opinión de los demás es su problema, no tuyo. Eso sí, busca en cada comentario y en cada crítica que puedes aprender sin dejar que la mala intención te afecte. Cuando logras manejar ese filtro en tu vida no hay nada que te pueda detener.

Lo que realmente importa es lo que tú pienses, lo que tu creas, porque tú eres el que realmente conoce cuál es el propósito de lo que estás haciendo. Tu eres el dueño de tus acciones y eres el único que tiene el derecho y el poder de influenciar tus sueños y como trabajas por ellos. Trabaja en algo que te apasione a ti, que te llene y te sientas inspirado cada día por lo que estás construyendo, sin importar lo que tengan que decir los demás.

Mientras más detallada más fácil será alcanzarla

El tener tus metas claras y un plan para trabajarlas te ayuda a tener claro a donde vas y como vas a llegar. Pero una de las fallas más comunes al momento de trabajar en nuestras metas es que no nos vamos al detalle.

La diferencia entre tener tus metas y realmente alcanzarlas está en el nivel de detalle que les des. Imagina que estás pidiendo una dirección y te dan un par de instrucciones de como llegar sin mucho detalle; quizás llegas, pero también es probable que te pierdas en el camino. Pero si la persona te da con gran detalle cómo llegar y con instrucciones claras llegarás al destino sin lugar a dudas.

Las metas tienes que hacerlas lo más específicas posibles, con el mayor nivel de detalle que puedas. Mientras más detallado seas mayores serán las probabilidades de que alcances esa meta. ¿Por qué? Sencillo, mientras más detalle más claro tendrás lo que tienes que hacer para alcanzarla.

Vamos a verlo con un ejemplo: Imagina que tu meta es ser fotógrafo. Tu meta sería: quiero ser fotógrafo porque quiero ser mi propio jefe y no quiero trabajar para alguien más. Suena atractivo, claro y con ambición. Pero vamos a ver cómo suena la misma meta pero detallada: quiero ser fotógrafo para trabajar en algo que me apasione. Necesito aprender las técnicas necesarias y así poder desarrollar las habilidades que necesito para poder convertirme en fotógrafo profesional. Y a medida que vaya mejorando mis habilidades iré adquiriendo nuevos equipos para también mejorar mi cámara.

El ser específico te ayuda a dos cosas principalmente: tener una meta más clara que vas a poder visualizar de manera más sencilla, y la más importante entender que herramientas necesitas desarrollar para poder trabajar en tu meta y así construir tu camino para alcanzarla.

Mucha gente te va a cuestionar al comienzo, te van a criticar durante el proceso y te van a envidiar cuando lo logres. No dejes que nadie haga que dudes de ti y determine tu camino, tú eres el único dueño de tu éxito. Cuando escribes la historia de tu vida no dejes que más nadie sostenga el lápiz.
