A bit about me

Hi! My name is Jaime

I’m a latino originally from Venezuela leaving in The Netherlands.

I feel extremely proud of where I am and everything I’ve achieved: a latino who decided to take the adventure of leaving his country, found a good job which allows me to help my family and to work on the life I want… but it was not always like that.

At the start of my career I was so excited to start in an global company and building my future. But years passed by and I was still in the same place, going with the flow, doing what I supposed to do and complaining about not having what I thought I deserved. For a long time I felt something was missing; I even thought I was not good enough and that there was nothing I could do.

I was in that place for years! Going in circles and repeating the same cycle day after day. The worst of all? I was convinced I was the only one in that place! Until one day I decided I had to do something to change it and stop being the victim of my own story.

Has been easy? Far from it. Maybe that’s what makes it worht it. I’ve dealt with burnout, stress, lack of direction, guilt of not deserving something better. But looking back I realize I have to get my hands dirty and make things happen instead of waiting for what I feel I ‘deserve’.

And you know the 2 things that change it for me? First, I own my time and energy now, I stop being busy and start being productive. And second, I understood that I’m the only one responsible to write my own story. I know, I know, sounds cliché but it’s so true.

I also discovered that one of my biggest passions is helping and inspiring others to work on what they want, which is one of the reasons I started this site.

And you know what else I am?

I’m super scare of the darkness

And hate horror movies. The irony? my wife loves them!

Love dogs

I’ve never had one when I was a kid, and remember my mom telling ‘don’t worry, you get one when you have your own home’. Guess what: I have 3 beautiful 4-leg babies: Loly, Milky y Tony

Also love reading and learning

I enjoy reading a lot and always looking what can I learn. I don’t like to be in the same place for too long.

I’m a dreamer

Not on a poetic style. I would love to change the corporate world in a way that everybody can feel happy and fulfilled at their jobs. I don’t know if one day it will happen but, as we say in my country, ‘I add my little grain of sand’ whenever I go.

The change you want is in your hands!

It’s normal to feel like the life you dream about is far away, and sometimes it’s harder than what you expected… but that doesn’t mean is impossible. Let’s work on our dreams and the life we want together!
