Empiezo mañana

Hace unos días tuve la oportunidad ser invitado en el podcast de un colega en este mundo de e inspirar a otros a buscar el éxito, y entre los muchos temas que conversamos hubo uno que me recordó un momento que marcó mi rumbo y que es la inspiración para el tema de hoy.

Todos y cada uno de nosotros tenemos sueños. A veces no los tenemos tan claros pero si está esa idea de algo que queremos alcanzar, y seguro que tú también la tienes. Tienes una idea de lo que quisieras, y cuando piensas en eso te emociona porque sabes que eso es lo que te gustaría hacer.

¿ESTAMOS CONTENTOS DONDE ESTAMOS?

La mayoría de las personas las deja en eso, en una idea. Pasan toda la vida soñando con eso que quieren pero pasan los años y sigue siendo un sueño. Según una encuesta realizada por la consultora GALLUP apenas el 15% de los empleados a nivel global se sienten comprometidos con sus empleos. ¡Significa que el 85% no lo está! Este número es alarmante, casi el 90% de las personas no está feliz con lo que hace. Y aunque hay infinidad de razones por las que la gente se siente así, en la mayoría de los casos es porque no toman iniciativa en cambiar su propia realidad.

¿Cuántas veces no hemos escuchado familiares o conocidos decir que quieren algo pero no vemos que hagan algo concreto de cara a eso que quieren? O incluso nosotros mismos, tenemos algo que queremos lograr pero no tomamos  ninguna acción para hacerlo realidad.

DEJA DE DARLE LARGAS A TUS SUEÑOS

Ese es el mayor error que podemos cometer, no tomar acción. Y la excusa que nos ponemos es ‘algún día lo empiezo’. Pero la verdad es que ese día no existe en el calendario. Algún día no es más que la excusa que nos ponemos para calmar nuestra mente y no sentir la culpa por postergar el trabajar en lo que queremos. Hay miles de ‘razones’ por las que le damos largas: no tengo tiempo, no sé cómo empezar, no estoy listo. Pero no importa lo que te digas a ti mismo, es sencillamente una excusa para no comenzar.

Nos enfocamos tanto en todo lo que nos hace falta y en lo incierto que se ve el camino hacia lo que queremos que nos da miedo tan solo pensar en empezar, y nos mentimos con la excusa de algún día. Si, el camino para alcanzar lo que quieres es largo, necesitas dedicar tiempo y esfuerzo, poner de tu parte día y noche para trabajar en cada una de las cosas que tienes que hacer y en cada paso que tienes que dar. Vas a cometer errores y habrán momentos en que tendrás que rectificar el rumbo. Pero todo eso es parte del proceso y del crecimiento que necesitas para avanzar hacia donde quieres llegar.

Nadie ha alcanzado sus sueños de una forma sencilla, sin dedicación y sobre todo sin equivocarse. Pero las personas que han logrado ser exitosos han trabajado por encima de sus miedos, y aunque te dirán que no fue fácil, también te dirán que valió la pena.

¡COMIENZA!

Así que si sabes que es lo que quieres, comienza a trabajar desde hoy. No mañana, ni la semana que viene, ni cuando sientas que estas listo, ¡HOY!

Da ese primer paso de cara a lo que quieres y te garantizo que no te vas a arrepentir. Solo ten presente que no es algo que vas a lograr de la noche a la mañana, que vas a tener que empujarte cuando no sientas ganas de seguir y que vas a cometer errores en el camino. Pero lo importante es que avances un poco cada día, tengas siempre presente tu meta y por qué lo estás haciendo y que aprendas de cada uno de tus errores. La vida está llena de aprendizajes y oportunidades, pero está en nosotros tomarlas o dejarlas pasar.

Si estás feliz con lo que tienes, y sientes que ya estás trabajando en tu sueño ¡TE FELICITO Y SIGUE ASI! Pero si no tienes totalmente claro que quieres o sientes que te falta algo pero no sabes muy bien que, te invito a que te des la oportunidad de descubrirlo. Tomate el tiempo para buscar dentro de ti y entender dónde estás, dónde quisieras estar y que sientes que te falta para llegar ahí. No necesitas horas, con unos minutos al día donde no tengas ninguna distracción es suficiente. No te puedo decir cuánto tiempo te va a llevar encontrar tu respuesta, pero si te garantizo que si la buscas y eres sincero contigo mismo, la vas a conseguir.

Un pequeño tip para ayudarte: piensa en alguna actividad o proyecto que hayas hecho y que te haya hecho sentir contento, que no podías esperar para seguir trabajando en eso. Ahora busca la razón por la que te sentías así, ¿que fue lo que te motivaba a hacerlo? Una vez que encuentres esa razón, piensa en otra actividad donde te hayas sentido igual (verás que vas a pensar en más de una). Esa razón, eso que te hace sentir motivado, es tu pasión. ¿y en qué momento hacer este ejercicio? Cualquier momento que te funcione a ti es bueno. Por ejemplo, el mío es en la ducha cuando no tengo interrupciones. Busca ese momento en tu día donde puedes dedicarte solo a ti y úsalo para encontrar tu razón. Y lo más importante, cuando la tengas comienza a trabajarla……. ¡sin excusas!
