Hoy quiero escribirles desde la sinceridad del momento.

Hoy leí algo que decía ‘lo que tienes hoy es lo que soñabas tener hace tiempo atrás’. Y apenas lo leí me llegó tanto que decidí cambiar el tema de esta semana… quizás por cómo han sido estas últimas semanas.

Todos tenemos sueños y logros que queremos alcanzar. Hay un sinfín de opciones y herramientas para aprender cosas nuevas y mejorar tus conocimientos. Pero no hay nada que te prepare para el camino que te toca recorrer.

CADA CAMINO ES DIFERENTE

En la travesía para alcanzar tus sueños siempre vas a encontrar alguna dificultad. Irónicamente vas a encontrar personas que te venden la idea que el camino al éxito es una línea recta, sencillo y que mientras más rápido avanzas más rápido conseguirás alcanzarlo. Pero hay una mala concepción del éxito en la actualidad; el camino al éxito es complejo, cambiante, y lo más importante es que es distinto para cada persona. Cada realidad lo hace único.

Para alcanzar tus metas necesitas trabajar por ellas, poner tu esfuerzo y disposición en lo que tienes que hacer para avanzar paso a paso. Necesitas un plan para saber cómo vas a llegar. Y cuando comienzas a trabajar en el plan todo se siente de maravilla, todo te inspira y te motiva a seguir trabajando. Todo pinta fantástico y sientes que por fin estás avanzando hacia lo que quieres….. hasta que te das cuenta que no es tan sencillo como creías.

Y es aquí donde la mayoría de las personas abandonan y dejan de intentarlo. No solamente porque sientan que es difícil, sino que dejan de creer y pierden de vista la meta por enfocarse únicamente en el camino.

En estas últimas semanas he sentido que doy vueltas en círculo. Dudaba si lo que estaba haciendo me estaba llevando a algún lado, sentí que quizás estaba perdiendo el tiempo y debería dedicar mi tiempo a otra cosa. Caí víctima de la impaciencia y la ansiedad.

Y es que sentirse así es algo normal. No te sientas mal o culpable si has sentido lo mismo, porque es parte del proceso. No estamos acostumbrados a pensar a largo plazo, especialmente en la sociedad de hoy donde, lamentablemente, nos venden una idea de éxito equivocada donde el menú del día son  resultados y satisfacción inmediata.

CAMBIA TU MENTALIDAD Y ALCANZA TUS SUEÑOS

El poder para alcanzar lo que te propongas está en ti, no en un programa de 5 semanas o en un curso de 20 horas. Las herramientas son necesarias, pero sin la mentalidad adecuada no son de gran ayuda. Por eso quiero compartir contigo las actitudes que en mi experiencia son claves en el camino hacia tus metas:

NECESITAS UN PLAN QUE SE ADAPTE A TI

Cada persona es diferente y lo que te funciona a ti puede que no le funcione a otros. No todos experimentamos la vida de la misma forma y eso hace que cada uno de nosotros tenga una realidad diferente. Entiende que te motiva a ti, cuál es TU razón detrás de tus metas y arma el plan que se adapte a tus necesidades y objetivos.

ENTIENDE QUE EL PLAN INICIAL VAS NECESITAR ADAPTARLO

En algún punto del camino se te van a presentar imprevistos y eventualidades con las que no contabas al comienzo. Incluso puede que necesites adaptarlo a nuevos objetivos que vayas identificando en el camino. La única constante en la vida es el cambio, así que necesitas ser flexible para poder identificar cuándo y cómo cambiar tu plan inicial.

PACIENCIA

Tu mejor amiga en el camino al éxito es la paciencia, porque no existe el éxito de la noche a la mañana. No importa lo que nos quieran vender o prometer hoy en día, el éxito es un proceso lento, a largo plazo y que requiere compromiso de tu parte. La gratificación inmediata se siente bien, pero es uno de los enemigos del éxito. Ten paciencia y confía en ti y verás cómo alcanzarás lo que te propongas.

PREPÁRATE PARA CUANDO NO SIENTAS GANAS DE SEGUIR

Esta es la parte más difícil del proceso, ¡y por mucho! Van a haber días en que no vas a estar de ánimos, vas a sentirte decaído y a dudar de lo que haces, o sentir que estás perdiendo el tiempo. Pero es ahí donde necesitas agarrar fuerzas y seguir, es en esos momentos donde cuenta tu determinación y enfoque en lo que quieres. Cuando todo va bien es fácil continuar, es cuando se pone difícil que necesitas empujarte a seguir sin dejarte nublar por las circunstancias del momento.

NUNCA CAMBIES LA META

Y lo más importante es que, sin importar lo difícil del camino y las eventualidades que enfrentes, ¡nunca cambies tu sueño!. Imagínalo como usar Google Maps: pones el destino, comienzas a andar y consigues un tráfico terrible. ¿Qué haces? Tú decides si te quedas en la misma ruta que trazaste o si buscas una nueva, pero nunca cambias el destino a dónde vas. La vida es igual, siempre hay más de una forma de llegar a un mismo destino.

Para alcanzar lo que quieres en la vida siempre ten en mente que quieres y sobre todo por qué lo quieres, tu razón de hacer las cosas es lo que te va a ayudar a encontrar la motivación que te funcioné a ti.

Y cuando sientas que no quieres seguir o que estás perdiendo tu tiempo, regresa a este artículo para ayudarte a recordar que lo más importante es a dónde vas en lugar de donde estás hoy. Recuerda que ‘lo que tienes hoy es lo que soñabas tener un tiempo atrás’.
