¿Sabes cuánta gente deja de perseguir sus sueños por no tener el plan perfecto?
Es impresionante la cantidad de personas que abandonan sus metas esperando tener un plan sin detalles. Incluso hay quienes se pasan toda su vida planificando como van a trabajar por lo quieren y nunca toman acción.
OLVÍDATE DE LA PERFECCIÓN
La perfección es un concepto abstracto que hemos utilizado por siglos para describir algo maravilloso. Obras como el David de Miguel Ángel nos invocan a usar la palabra perfección para describir un trabajo tan majestuoso. Pero la realidad es que la perfección no existe, es algo intangible que lo único que hace es crear una falsa expectativa acerca de que se puede lograr y que no. Nos limitamos nosotros mismos tratando de alcanzar algo que en realidad es inalcanzable.
Pero, si la perfección no existe, ¿cómo puedo evaluar si el plan que estoy armando está listo? Esta pregunta me la hice durante mucho tiempo cuando no conseguía darle la forma que quería a mi plan. Cometí el error de caer en este juego, en pensar que no podía comenzar si no tenía un plan perfecto, sin ningún detalle ni errores. Y no te imaginas la cantidad de planes que abandoné y oportunidades que deje pasar.
Luego de muchos tropiezos, planes abandonados y algunas frustraciones, conseguí la respuesta que estaba buscando. Después de mucho estudiar a las personas exitosas que admiro, de consultar con las personas a mi alrededor que han alcanzado grandes metas en sus vidas y educarme con un sinfín de materiales y libros acerca del éxito, pude encontrar la clave para alcanzar mis metas: La Excelencia.
EXCELENCIA: LA CLAVE PARA AVANZAR HACIA TUS SUEÑOS.
La excelencia, a diferencia del perfeccionismo, se basa en ti mismo y tu potencial. La perfección es un enfoque a lo externo que demanda ser mejor que los demás. En cambio, la excelencia es un enfoque a lo interno, donde tu objetivo es esforzarte para ser lo mejor que puedes llegar a ser, tú eres tu referencia. Y es cuando cambias tu perspectiva que realmente comienzas a crecer sin límites.
Pasamos demasiado tiempo planificando sin realmente tomar acción. La planificación es importante, pero no tiene que ser perfecta para empezar….. porque no existe el plan perfecto.
PLANIFICA….. Y EJECUTA
¿Tienes una meta que quieres alcanzar? Lee, investiga, aprende, planifica, pero toma acción cuando sientas que tienes suficientes herramientas para comenzar. Date permiso a equivocarte, aprender de tus errores y seguir avanzando sin juzgarte a ti mismo y sin prestar atención a lo que opinen los demás. Todo va agarrando forma en el camino y siempre vas a tener áreas para mejorar, pero es al comenzar que vas a poder ver de manera más sencilla donde están las fallas para poder superarlas.
Tratar de tener todo perfecto no sólo es inútil, sino que es agotador. Te lleva a un estado de estrés porque nunca sientes que es suficientemente bueno y siempre vas a estar preocupándote de más por cosas que realmente son innecesarias. Además, el perfeccionismo no es más que la inseguridad disfrazada.
Así que saca tus metas del papel donde las tengas, arma tu plan de cómo vas a trabajar en ellas y comienza. Una vez que comiences verás como todo es más sencillo de lo que creías. Y dale más importancia a empezar que a terminar.
Quisiera que hagas algo, para ti: Comienza a trabajar en eso que siempre has querido hacer y al cabo de 6 meses quiero que te compares con el día que empezaste. Te aseguro que te vas a sentir increíble viendo lo mucho que has avanzado y lo lejos que has llegado, y eso te va a motivar a seguir esforzándote.
